A proposal surprise @ Seceda
Beneath the jagged silhouette of Seceda in the Dolomites, Italy, where light fractures into gold and silence, a story awaits. You will stand where earth and sky meet, the wind carrying the whisper of alpine grass and the murmur of clouds. Every breath widens, as if the mountains hold theirs for your vow. This is not merely a place to ask — it is a place that demands honesty, courage, and the certainty that two lives will become one. When you kneel, the peaks will witness your love; when you speak, the valley will keep the promise. Let Seceda be witness: let the moment be wild, hushed, and unforgettable.
I help the groom communicate the plan in minute detail: I send him the exact GPS coordinates of the ideal spot to kneel, with instructions on how to move from the cable car to the Seceda ridge, taking into account trails, viewpoints and areas where it’s easiest to hide without being noticed. Together we follow the route via message or call while they ride the cable car, so I can monitor timing and adapt my positioning according to their walking speed, the light and the wind.
I always position myself strategically and invisibly: I choose rock crevices, ground depressions or shrubs that screen my presence, and I wear discreet clothing and use quiet equipment so as not to attract attention. Before the proposal I do a final quick visual check from a distance to make sure the bride isn’t looking in my direction and that the groom’s trajectory is clear; if needed, I send the future husband small real‑time prompts (for example: “walk toward the boulder on the left, then stop there”) to guide him to the exact point without ruining the surprise.
After the “yes,” I emerge from my hiding place naturally and introduce myself with a smile, instantly turning tension into joy: from that moment we begin a couple session designed to showcase the location — the crest, the rocky spurs and the wide views over the Dolomites — while maintaining the same discreet, documentary approach. I take advantage of the dawn light, the wind that lifts hair and the newly born expressions to create cinematic, authentic images: angles that elongate the composition, depth of field to isolate the gaze, and close details to preserve tears and rings. The result is an intimate, timeless reportage that celebrates the “yes,” preserves the surprise and turns Seceda — with its rugged ridges and boundless panoramas — into an unforgettable backdrop.
