Amore in Quota: From Australia to the Dolomites | Intimate Elopement at Rifugio Stevia

As a local mountain guide for Dolomites weddings and Dolomites elopement photographer, I always look forward to guiding couples who fly across the globe for an unforgettable intimate wedding in the Dolomites. Recently, I had the pleasure of working as a wedding photographer in Val Gardena for a wonderful Australian couple and their closest friends, leading them on an extraordinary mountain journey.

Our adventure began in the picturesque meadows of Rifugio Juac (1,905 m). As their guide, I led the group along Sentiero 17 toward Forcella San Silvestro, taking on a scenic 400-meter vertical ascent (dislivello) to reach the summit plateau of Rifugio Stevia (2,312 m). Upon arrival, the bride and groom changed into their attire at the hut, preparing for a breathtaking mountain hut wedding ceremony in the Dolomites.

Standing before the majestic peaks of Sassolungo and Puez-Odle, they exchanged vows in a deeply emotional symbolic ceremony. Capturing their moments during this Rifugio Stevia hut wedding photo shoot was pure magic. After the ceremony, I guided them safely back down, completing an unforgettable matrimonio in quota in Val Gardena.
